A Single Movimiento Fundraising Campaign With 32 Different Causes
At Grupo Salinas we take pride in the value of generosity. This inspires us to support projects that provide the means and tools for the development of those in need.
For 15 years, Fundación Azteca has sought solutions to very specific social problems by matching institutions with donors through a fundraising and awareness campaign known as Movimiento Azteca.
Today, with the Movimiento Azteca campaign number 69, we raised the bar and supported 32 different causes in a single campaign. This monumental effort was possible thanks to our local Azteca stations throughout the country. They had the task of identifying an important local cause and promoting viewer participation to support it.
With the support of viewers and the institutions that we support, we raised 28.60 million pesos, which will benefit 56,000 people through institutions such as Albatros Centro de Desarrollo Integral, I.A.P. of Colima; the Patronato del Centro Estatal de Cancerología A.C. of Durango; the Asociación Mexicana de Fibrosis Quística A. C. of Aguascalientes; Operation Smile México A.C.; and Fundación Lattuada del Insuficiente Renal IAP in Querétaro, among others.
This Movimiento campaign showed that there are top-level non-profit institutions on local levels that operate with the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This is precisely the social capital that allows us to aspire to higher development levels.
Many thanks to those who joined this Movimiento fund raising campaign and their local causes. Efforts like these help to form a better, more cohesive, united, and prosperous society. Thank you.
